Māmā & pēpi

The day we birth our uri is the day we rebirth ourselves as wāhine, as Māmās.

How humbly grateful to sit amongst these beautiful Māmā & pēpi with deep reverence for the many moods of Mamahood.

All the wild emotions that rise and energetically evoke happiness, laughter, frustration, exhaustion, loneliness, chaos, grief, loss, tenderness, anger,

All cloaked in a mothers heart energy of boundless aroha.

“Wāhine mā may we all continue to rise together, your well-being is everything,

You are the heart of the home, & the song of connection.

You carry the ancient wisdoms of your many Grand Mother’s before you,

Humbled in the footsteps of your ancestors.

It takes a village to raise a child, & bad ass strength, resilience and courage to hold the open fires of Mamahood.

Mother’s first and foremost,

Embodied in your truth is what your tamariki will receive.

Power beyond measure.

Mamas we celebrate and acknowledge you”

Huge mihi to you sistar @photography_by_ria_ featuring us all in your Ode to Mamahood journey kaupapa.
